Tooling Cooling System and Short Axis Support
- When the punch retracts, “C” uses spindle “B” as a drive source. Fulcrum “A” is set on the transfer and moves “C” to the front of the dies. Air is then sprayed from C, and cooling or preheating of the punch and die are carried out. (Fig.1, Fig.2)
- When the punch moves forward, it is held between die centers. (Fig.3)
- By replacing C’s spray nozzle, it can also be used as short axis support.
- With this system, fin (fine particles), which are produced when forging aluminum and magnesium, can be soaked up by a vacuum.
