In a long former, naturally the die is also longer, making it difficult to detach. It is hard work to remove a long die from the die block. When seizing occurs, it cannot be removed, so it becomes extremely difficult to remove the die blocks individually.
Because of this, a half-type die block with a detachable top lid is being developed at Sakamura.
If the die seizes, the top lid can be removed, allowing for maintenance to be performed.
